Dr Yung Dai attended the 3rd PDA Mycoplasma workshop in Berlin.

Chairs for the confenerce were Dr Barbara Potts ( Genetech inc) and Dr Thomas Haemmerle(Baxter). This was an oppotunity for ams staff involved in mycoplasman testing to gain a better understanding of issues facing the Biotech industry and regulatory requirements that relate to mycoplasmas. Speakers included many world experts in this field and regulatory delegates from FDA and EDQM.
Yung was able to obtain some data and information on detection of mycoplasmas from
different commercial suppliers and learn of the latest developments that relate to mycoplasma
detection. ams Laboratories has gained accreditation for NAT testing for mycoplasma since February 2009.
We will continue to offer our expertise in assisting our clients with mycoplasma testing as required by international regulatory bodies. |
